Failed to execute goal on project Poker-WS (Spring in Action 2nd Ed)

I tried to run the mvn clean install command from the root of the source code examples in Struts in Action 2nd Edition and I am getting the following error. I have no understanding of Maven so I am hoping someone could help me with this.
