I've been involved with the modern eBook industry since its conception, and I pay for my electronic media and acquire them legitimately.
I'd like to thank you for your policy of providing Manning eBooks in a simple, unencumbered format.
When I purchase electronic books from others (such as Wrox through amazon.com), I have to go through all sorts of acrobatics (pun not intended) to make sure my book is licensed on only a small number of computers. (This process is thwarted when I upgrade my computer system, and I have to reregister.) Once I get the rights to a book, many times I am only allowed to make a certain number of copy-and-paste operations within a certain amount of time.
Manning, on the other hand, just gives me a simple PDF that I can use like any other. The book is inscribed with my name and email address, which is the perfect sort of copy protection for honest users.
Likewise, your early access program is invaluable---right now, I'm using the *excellent* _JavaServer Faces in Action_ early access version to get information I can't find elsewhere to use in my current project.
I'm therefore looking *first* to Manning in the future for all my technical book needs. If there's a question about which book to buy, I'll opt for Manning over other publishers because of principle---I want to promote your method of electronic publishing.
Thanks again for your electronic publishing policy, and please don't change to some more encumbered electronic rights protection process.

Hi,
Simply hit our web page at http://www.manning.com find the book you want to buy, and click the buy ebook link. You'll check out and pay with a credit card and the ebook will be available to download out of a download account.
