Chapter 10 using non-standard User class

This book is excellent. Best Grails book on the market.
I am having trouble getting the acegi plugin working with an alternate field name for username and passwd. I believe that I followed the steps outlined in the text, but am getting unresolved errors, etc. Has anyone else been able to get the examples outlined on pages 294-297 working? Thanks.
