Manning Sandbox Overview

The Manning Sandbox provides Manning readers exclusive, free content and other goodies. We have found that during book idea exploration and manuscript development, Manning often produces a lot of professional quality content that, for various reasons, does not make it into a published book. The items can range from short reports and essays, to chopped chapters, to complete books that we would ordinarily be forced to leave languishing on the editors floor. Not any more! Through the Manning Sandbox, we will be making these goodies available to Sandbox members for free.

How to sign up

To join the Manning Sandbox, simply sign up for an account at http://www.manning-sandbox.com. Once you have an account and log in, you will see a new "Freebies" forum that is only visible to sandbox members. Our giveaways, announcements, and other Sandbox exclusives will be made available there. If you want to receive a message whenever new freebies are available, click on the "Freebies" forum, and set a watch on the forum just as you would any other Manning forum or thread. Make sure your account has email watch notifications turned on (see "Your Control Panel"), and you will receive emails whenever we post new content.

Free goodies are just the beginning. Manning plans on adding new Sandbox features and exclusive discounts to Manning books for Sandbox members. Watch the Freebies Sandbox forum for announcements in the near future.

Privacy Policy

Customer privacy is important to us. Information that you register in your Sandbox profile will never be sold by Manning to other parties, or used by Manning without your express consent. Settings in your Control Panel allow you to control what information about you is exposed, to the public, and the Sandbox "Watch" feature allows you to receive notifications on Sandbox changes the way you want: via email, or just as highlighted articles when you log in to the forums. If you have any questions about how your personal information is used, please just ask.
