MEAP Errata 4/3/2010

There are two typos in the MEAP that I'm aware of:
On page 26 I say pneumonic instead of mnemonic.
On page 43 the caption for table 2.1 should read "OCGM stands for objects, containers, gestures, and manipulations. These are the foundational concepts necessary for designing NUIs."
Feel free to post anything else you find as well as your reaction to the chapters so far.
Do you find the discussion of objects and containers useful?

On Page 18, last paragraph it says: "It could also have parallel action it the user could speak..." probably the second "it" should be an "if"?

On page 21 you refer to figure 1.4, but there isn't such a figure, just a title and description.

On page 46, last paragraph it says "If you didn't save it or you don't already know files and folders work..." I think it is missing the word 'how' between know and files.
On page 73, first paragraph after the figure it says "You want to stay high-level and focus on implementing great natural user interfaces, but you don't want to mucking..." Probably needs the last part to say "you don't want to BE mucking around" or "you don't want to muck around".

Page 76, the Win32 Touch API section says "The Win32 Touch API and native development is out of the scope of this book, but you can't find more information..." I think the "can't" should be a "can".

Section 1.1.2 (page 8): third bullet item is
"Will the application used only by well-trained users?"
Presumably should be: "Will the application be used only by well-trained users?"
Great book so far, Josh!

JPTranter,
Thanks for all the grammar checking! I'll make sure these make it in the next MEAP update.
I appreciate it!

Chapter 1 * Section: NUIs reuse existing skills * 3rd paragraph: "keyboard verses" should probably be "keyboard versus"

On page 24 in para 1.4.1, third line, "We will talk about object permanence..." should most likely read "We will talk about what object permanence ..."

On page 102, and of first para, the reference to 'section 6.X' should (I think) refer to 'section 6.4'
